Baldy View ROP is a training site for the American Heart Association (AHA) for CPR and First Aid classes.  This class covers adult, child, and infant CPR and foreign body airway obstruction (FBAO) removal procedures.  This course also covers the usage of the Automatic External Defibrillator (AED).  Please see the class schedule below for CPR classes offered at Baldy View ROP.  Class sizes are kept limited to allow for each student to practice on their own manikin, which will ensure maximum skills practice for this course.
All classes are located in Classroom #3 at the Career Training Center.  Refer to the "Directions" tab for the location of the Training Center.

Cost
: $50.00

Healthcare Provider- HCP (initial and/or recertification)
(All CPR classes follow the new American Heart Association's 2005 Guidelines.  Each student will be provided a new textbook at the start of each class). This course will satisfy all requirements for taking a certified CPR course.  Students will earn at the completion of the course an American Heart Association (AHA) CPR course completion card that is good for two (2) years of certification.

Registration Procedure:
Students interested in signing up for a CPR class are required to complete a registration form (see download registration form lower on this webpage) to confirm placement in a selected course.  If you have any questions, leave a phone message or email, Mary Zaldivar, CPR registration at (909) 947-3400, ext. 322.

When students register for a selected CPR class, they will be required to pay the registration fee at that time.  Students will be required to come to our training center and make payment in person or send a money order (made payable to BALDY VIEW SO) in the mail prior to attending the class.  No personal checks will be accepted.  This payment will confirm registration in the specific date the student was interested in attending.  Contact Mary Zaldivar for CPR class payment information and options. A receipt will be provided to all students that make a payment for a CPR course.

Class size is limited to 10 students and pre-registration is required.  No walk in registration on the day of the class.  Students will be turned away and asked to register for another class session.

Students must be able to speak and understand English to participate in this course.  Students who do not speak fluent English will be asked to contact the American Heart Association to find a bilingual CPR class to better accomadate their spoken language.  This request is to better faciliate the student in learning the material and becoming proficient with the required written test and skills portion of the course.

CPR COURSE VERIFICATION:
Employers requesting CPR course completion card and course attendance verification shall provide the following information to our training center staff to honor this request:

* Students name printed on the card
* Specific course completed
* Date of course completion on the card
* Course instructors name printed on the card

This request may take 2-3 days to process and to return your phone call.
